I keep seeing people messing about with using LCDs as storage areas for the programmable block. Granted, if you want a storage that is directly accessible from multiple programmable blocks, this is indeed your only solution, but
there is a Storage string property in the grid program for private storage, folks.
It's been in for ages, I don't even remember when they added it.
